Web standard, every one talks about standard, actually what is web standard? in the industry each define each meaning as per their business needs, well will look at the Wikipedia definition about the web standard.
Web standards is a general term for the formal standards and other technical specifications that define and describe aspects of the World Wide Web. In recent years, the term has been more frequently associated with the trend of endorsing a set of standardized best practices for building web sites, and a philosophy of web design and development that includes those methods.
The above definition is defined by some of the genius folks who was contributed to he web, well now my question for my self is. out of the millions of websites out there in the Internet, how many websites are actually up to the web standard?
My answer is 0.1%, no one is following the web standard than some bodies, main reason that 99.9% used to say, “we give what client needs”.
Who is the user of the web sites or the applications? clients or users, simply users, users are going to face application/website.
Some used to say, “We need money, end of the day money matters”, I am absolutely don’t like such statement when I am working for a client or a company, don’t look for your pocket, do with passion, with love, and completely and cleanly, if every one do with passion and love, of course one day at least 20% of website will be up to the web standard.
